The Jackson County Major Crimes Task Force is made up of representatives from the Jackson City Police Department, Blackman Township Department of Public Safety, the Jackson County Office of the Sheriff, The Michigan State Police, and the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office.
The Task Force is responsible for investigating major crimes or serial crimes within the County of Jackson. This cooperative effort has proven successful to date in bringing criminals to justice in our community.
Crimes investigated by task force:
- Homicide and attempts
- Kidnapping and attempts
- Armed Robbery/Bank Robbery and attempts
- Non-Family CSC and attempts
- Serial Burglaries
- Arson and attempts
- Any other crime as designated by the Sheriff, Blackman Township Director of Public Safety, Commander MSP Jackson Post, or the Jackson City Chief of Police.
