The Jackson County Office of the Sheriff K-9 Team is made up of Deputy Mark Easter and his partner Deputy Brix.
Deputy Easter is a seasoned professional law enforcement officer who was employed by the Jackson City Police Department for 7 years prior to joining the Jackson County Office of the Sheriff in 2006. Deputy Easter was partnered up with Deputy Brix in 2008.
Deputy Brix is a 3 year old German Shepard who was born in Hungary. He attended a K-9 Academy in northern Michigan for final training. Deputy Easter and Deputy Brix then completed a 4 week academy together solidifying them as a team. Deputy Brix is trained in narcotics, area search, apprehension, and tracking.
